How do I practise a dance phrase with honest feedback?
Work in short phrases, record one attempt at a time, and fix one measured thing before moving on — that is the whole loop, and it is how SkillMirror is built to be used.
Why one fix instead of a full report?
A list of ten corrections fixes nothing. The analysis ranks every measured difference against that joint’s own noise floor and surfaces the single strongest signal. The rest are set aside on purpose — one thing at a time is how bodies learn.
What makes the feedback honest?
Every correction states its size in degrees and only exists when it is larger than the smallest change the measurement can defend for that joint. Identical attempts earn no praise; a first attempt earns none either, because there is nothing real to compare it with. When your video is too dark or your body leaves the frame, the app says it could not assess you — it never invents a result.
How long should a phrase be?
Long enough to mean something as movement. Short enough to repeat many times in one session without dreading it.
